10.6.2. Removal, installation of the switch (lock) of ignition and its dismantling

It will be required to you: the hammer, a chisel, the screw-driver with a flat edge.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove a casing of a steering column (see. "Removal and installation of facing casings of a steering column").
3. Wring out a clamp...
4.... also disconnect a block with ignition lock wires from a plait of wires of the dashboard.
5. Disconnect a block with ignition lock wires from a plait of wires of a control system of an immobilizator.
6. Turn out by means of a chisel and the hammer or drill four bolts with detachable heads and remove the ignition lock from a steering column (it is for descriptive reasons shown on the removed helmsman to a shaft).

7. Unbend a clamp of a block of a plait of wires of the lock of ignition...
8.... also take from a plug block with wires.
9. Squeeze latches...
10.... also remove a plastic cover from the lock case.
11. Unbend two plastic latches...
12.... also take out contact group of a lock cover.
13. Examine contacts. Smooth out the oxidized or burned slightly contacts a fine-grained grinding skin. At strong damage of contacts replace contact group or the lock assembled.
14. Collect the ignition lock as it should be, the return to removal, at the same time pay attention to an arrangement of plugs with wires in a block of a plait of wires.
15. Put the ignition lock as it should be, the return to removal, previously having drowned a locking core of the anti-theft device. For this purpose insert a key into the lock and turn it from situation "0" in any other situation.

Note
When replacing the lock of ignition it is necessary to replace electronic code elements (transponders) in heads of ignition keys of the new lock with the corresponding code elements of keys from the lock of the ignition removed from the car.
The procedure of training after such replacement is not required to be carried out.
