5.18.3. Pressure decrease of fuel in an engine power supply system

In an engine power supply system with fuel injection pressure makes 380 kPa (3,8 kgfs/cm2). Therefore it is forbidden to weaken connections of fuel-supply lines in operating time of the engine or right after its stop. For work on repair of a power supply system on just stopped engine it is necessary to reduce previously pressure in a power supply system. In 4–5 h after an engine stop pressure in system considerably falls (practically to zero).

1. Include neutral transfer and slow down the car the parking brake.
2. Remove a pillow of a back seat (see. "Removal and installation of a back seat").
3. Raise the cut-out part of a rug over the hatch.
4. Turn out the screw-driver with a crosswise edge two screws of fastening of a cover of the hatch over the fuel pump …
5. … also uncover.
6. Wring out a clamp …
7. … also disconnect a block of a plait of wires from the fuel pump.
8. Launch the engine and let's it work before full fuel use from a fuel stage. After that the engine will stop.
9. Include a starter approximately on 3 with for alignment of pressure in pipelines.
10. Establish all removed details as it should be, the return to removal.
