5.18.9. Replacement of the regulator of idling

The regulator consists of the bipolar step electric motor and the conical valve connected to it. On a signal of an electronic control unit the electric motor moves with the engine the valve, changing thereby the section of the air channel through passage.
It will be required to you: the screw-driver with a crosswise edge, a tester.
1. Wring out a clamp of a block of a plait of wires …
2. … also disconnect a block from the idling regulator.
3. Turn out two screws of fastening of the regulator to throttle knot …
4. … also take the regulator from an opening of throttle knot.

Note
Pay attention: connection is condensed with a rubber ring 1.
Do not try to extend or press the valve 2 regulators as it can put the regulator out of action.

5. Switch a tester to the mode of an ohmmeter and measure resistance between conclusions "And" and "In" the regulator, and then between conclusions of "C" and "D". Resistance has to be within 0,040–0,080 kOhm.

Note
On the case of the regulator of idling there are no designations of conclusions, but their arrangement can be determined by the corresponding designations on a block of a plait of wires.

6. When replacing the regulator on new pay attention to distance L between the end needles of the valve and an assembly flange — it has to be no more than 23 mm. If this distance is more, the needle of the regulator will rest against a saddle of throttle knot and when tightening screws of fastening the regulator will be damaged.
7. Before installation of the regulator clear of pollution a saddle and the air channel in throttle knot, and also a surface under a sealing ring of the regulator.
8. Oil a sealing ring engine and install the regulator as it should be, the return to removal. Screws of fastening of the regulator tighten the moment of 3-4 N · m.
