7.1.5. Replacement of a spherical support

It will be required to you: cap keys "on 17", "on 19", a stripper of spherical support.
1. Lift and establish a forward part of the car on support. Remove a wheel.

Slow down the car the parking brake and establish an antiretractable emphasis ("boots") under back wheels.

Good advice
Weaken and tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel only on the car standing on the earth. Moment of an inhaling of bolts of 65-95 N · m (6,5–9,5 kgfs · м).

2. Turn off a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge.
3. Vypressuyte a finger of the spherical hinge from the lever by means of a special stripper.

So the universal stripper for the spherical hinge of the lever of a suspension bracket and tips of steering drafts looks.

4. If there is no stripper, do not turn off a nut up to the end. Wring out the lever an assembly shovel and blows of the hammer along a lever axis to a vypressuyta a hinge finger from the lever. Later
it finally turn off a nut.
5. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the spherical hinge to a rotary fist.
6. Wring out the lever an assembly shovel down and remove the spherical hinge.
7. Shake a spherical finger in a support, having clamped the hinge in a vice. From effort of a hand the finger should not move (the side play no more than 0,7 mm is allowed).
8. If at insignificant effort the finger moves in a support, replace a spherical support.
9. If the protective cover is torn, remove the top dirty layer of lubricant (if it is noticeable that dirt got in the hinge, it should be replaced) and apply new jellied lubricant.
10. Install the expansion plug against the stop.
11. Put jellied lubricant in a new protective cover half of its volume.
12. Establish a spherical support as it should be, the return to removal. Before installation of an antisplash cover apply sealant on a support surface.

At installation do not damage a protective cover of the spherical hinge. Surely replace the damaged cover.

13. Lower the car on the earth and several times strongly rock it. Tighten a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge to the lever the moment of 80-96 N · m (8,0–9,6 kgfs · l), a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge to a rotary fist the moment of 50-63 N · m (5,0–6,3 kgfs · м). After the run of 100 km once again tighten these threaded connections the required moments.
