7.1.8. Replacement of details of the stabilizer of cross stability of a forward suspension bracket

It will be required to you: a key "on 13", "on 17" (two), the hammer (wooden or polymeric).
1. Install the car on an osmotrovy ditch or lift and establish a forward part of the car on support.

Prevention
Slow down the car the parking brake and establish an antiretractable emphasis ("boots") under back wheels.

2. Remove the additional muffler (see. "Replacement of the additional muffler").
3. Turn off on one nut of fastening of racks of the stabilizer on both sides of the car.
4. Turn off two nuts of fastening of arms of a bar of the stabilizer on both sides of the car.
5. Remove a stabilizer bar together with arms and racks.

Note
If it is necessary to replace only racks of the stabilizer or their plug, turn off nuts of fastening of racks to levers and bring down racks from a stabilizer bar the wooden or polymeric hammer.

6. Examine a stabilizer bar. It should not be deformed, and its ends have to be in one plane. At change of geometry of a bar replace it.
7. Remove arms from stabilizer bar pillows.
8. If pillows of the stabilizer are worn-out, torn, lost elasticity or leaky sit on a bar, replace a stabilizer bar assembled with pillows.
9. Examine racks and plugs. Replace the deformed racks and plugs if they are worn-out, torn, cracked, lost elasticity or leaky sit on a bar.

Note
As replacement of worn-out rubber plugs of racks of the stabilizer requires a press, it is easier to replace a rack together with plugs.

10. Establish a bar and wrap nuts of fastening of arms of pillows of the stabilizer.
11. Wrap nuts of fastening of racks before the choice of gaps between racks and levers.
12. Install the additional muffler (see. "Replacement of the additional muffler").
13. Having installed the car on wheels, finally tighten all nuts of fastening of the stabilizer at the loaded suspension bracket (the car is installed on an osmotrovy ditch). The moment of an inhaling of nuts of fastening 43–53 N · m are resistant (4,3–5,3 kgfs · l), fastenings of an arm of 13-16 N · m (1,3–1,6 kgfs · м).
